Meet Icarus
Builders of Immersive Gaming Experiences
Icarus is an independent game studio dedicated to creating immersive and captivating gaming experiences for everyone.
We've made it our mission to develop high-quality simulations that entertain, challenge and inspire.

Meet the Team

Martin Lemieux-Codere
Artist, Team Coordinator
Martin is Icarus' team coordinator and mission designer. Taking a lead role in planning, he keeps the game's vision consistent from start to finish.
Martin's 3D models and innovative designs also help bring the Operation: Phoenix experience to life.

Kayvohn Masoumi
Programmer
Kayvohn is the programmer behind game's wildfire simulation. His fire dynamics allow flames to spread across the game world, influenced by various factors such as height, humidity, temperature, wind conditions. Players can engage with this feature by extinguishing fires using water or other methods.

David Cottin
Lead Programmer, Build Engineer
As Icarus' lead programmer, David designs and implements core systems related to drone behaviour and flight simulation. He also oversees desktop and VR integration, keeping the player experience consistent across platforms.

Mark Downey
Level Designer
Level designer Mark crafts immersive environments that bring our game's world to life.
Their work centres on landscape and foliage systems, using procedural content generation (PCG) to create dynamic, natural spaces that enhance both gameplay and exploration.
Outside of studio work, they develop small experimental games in GameMaker and create pixel art in Aseprite, continually exploring new ideas and refining their craft across both design and art.

Fisher Harper
Programmer
In addition to programming drone AI, Fisher has had a hand in creating most of Operation: Phoenix's key gameplay systems and its visual VFX.
When he isn't coding, you might find him cosplaying, making jewelry, or gaming (sandbox and survival games are current favourites.)
Matthew Fudemoto
Programmer, Sound Designer

Matt is a programmer and the sound designer for Operation: Phoenix. He thinks of making games as the process of designing systems that turn ideas into experiences.
A lifelong aviation nerd cursed with vertigo, he is usually unable to keep his eyes open when more than two stories above ground level. Flying a quadcopter in Operation: Phoenix is likely the closest he will come to actually piloting any aircraft.
